7-Day Wild Food Alps, France
Under the guidance of an experienced foraging guide, we will spend 7 days in the Savoie region in the French Alps, searching for wild edible plants. Think of hiking through different ecosystems as we walk up and down the mountains, waterfalls, a stay in a mountain view chalet and everything from food to activities taken care of. The perfect opportunity to fully relax, hike and learn about wild plants.
Because we have a chalet, we can both enjoy nature, but come home at night and sleep in a nice bed.

All you need to know

A highly diverse program, all outdoors.
An exploratory journey through edible plants, suitable for both beginners and advanced participants.
5-days of hiking through forests, mountains and local villages
Culinary aspect:
adventurous and flavorful food, sourced locally (foraged) from morning till evening
A compact travel group of maximum 9 people: a good atmosphere and personal interaction.
Disconnection: we request minimizing the use of smartphones to an absolute minimum.
Some activities will require a car, shared amongst participants. -
Appropriate clothing: waterproof, warm, and good hiking shoes, good backpack.
Good physical condition: ability to walk 15 km and no fear of cold or water.Bedlinnen and towel (will be shared in the practical email)

During the trip we will visit cafés where we can eat a blueberry pie, ice-cream or have a coffee. These are not included in the total price. -

The location of the house is in ‘Notre Dame de Bellecombe, Savoie, France’. 8-9 hour drive from Brussels, Belgium.
