    MUSHROOM EXPERT

    Since she turned 15 she has dedicated herself to examining nature, specifically to collecting and observing the mushrooms that grow in the forests of the Mixteca, with the help of documents with descriptions of wild mushrooms in the region that have existed for 600 years.

    FOUNDER FOREST TO PLATE

    Ben has been teaching wild edible plants and mushrooms for over 10 years through his platform Forest To Plate. Based in Belgium and France, he has travelled around the world in search for wild edible plants and mushrooms and shares his daily passion with thousands of people.

  • Ruta De Hongos Mixteca

    LOCAL ORGANIZATION

    Since 2016, Ruta Hongos de Mixteca have been a community of young Ñuu Savi (Mixtec) indigenous people, organized to preserve their territory and its biodiversity through the wonderful kingdom of fungi (jii yi), a kingdom that has been part of their Ñuu Savi identity since 700 B.C.
